US political analyst Jon Alterman of CSIS says Israel must rethink how it’s approaching the Palestinians.

“It’s not a mainstream place any extra,” says Jon Alterman, director of the Center East programme on the Middle for Strategic and Worldwide Research in Washington, DC.
Alterman tells host Steve Clemons that Hamas’s shock assault on Israel, and Israel’s persevering with destruction of the Gaza Strip, will pressure main modifications within the political management of Palestinians and Israelis.
There can be no progress except Israel makes approach for an answer “that provides dignity and a few sense of self-determination to the Palestinians,” says Alterman.
